festival of Mewar is celebrated in whole Rajasthan to welcome the
beginning of spring season. All women gather on this day to dress the
images of Isar and Ganguar and then the procession begins with carrying
these images through the whole city. After the end of these ceremonies, begins the part where we have number of cultural events portraying songs, dances and other programs. The end of this festival is marked with lots of fireworks that mark the culmination of the festivity. This festival also includes a number of fairs that gives everybody a chance to see the handicrafts of Rajasthan. |
