fair is an eight days fair that is held every year during the month of
January-February. It is also known as Cattle fair where not only animals
are decorated; even their owners are also equally colorful in their
dresses. One can see few thousand animals that are being gathered here
for trading purposes including cows, bullocks, ox, camels, etc.Attractions include the mirchi bazaar (largest red-chilly market of India), wooden items, iron-crafts and camel leather accessories. This fair is also known to have a variety of games as part of entertainment for the tourists including cock fights, tug-of war, camel races, etc. Evenings are filled with traditional dance and music which changes the mood completely. |
