Rajasthan Culture
 When
we talk about cultural diversity, the first thing that comes to mind is
Rajasthan which is famous for its rich variety of colors, languages,
folk music and art work. With Hindi as the official language, Rajasthani
is known to be the principal language of the state apart from four main
dialects: Marwari in the west, Jaipuri in the east, Malwi in the
southeast and Mewati in the northeast. With tourism as the main industry
in Rajasthan, one can find English speaking people in all the major
cities.
Rajasthan is also famous for its folk dance and misc. The Ghoomar dance
from Udaipur and Kaibeliya dance of Jaisalmer are known worl-wide.
Mostly the songs mark the stories of battle, heroism, love, religious or
devotional songs known as bhajans and banis, often accompanied by
musical instruments like dholak, sitar, sarangi etc.
Traditional and colorful art is also famous as a trade mark of
Rajasthan with tye and die prints, block prints, zari embroidery, Bagaru
prints, Sanganer prints, etc.
