Rajasthan is a state of India which is full of amazing stories about heroism, romance, bravery, architectural elegance, culture and much more. Rajasthan state with a total area of 343000 sq. km is divided by Aravalli range, which runs from north -east to southwest for about 688 km.

Tourism in Rajasthan makes state one of the most visited state of India. Apart from being known as a desert state, Rajasthan, in fact has a varied topography that includes from dense green forests, the oldest mountains in the world, and lush water-filled valleys. With all this available the wildlife of Rajasthan is rich, varied, with a big population of animals, reptiles and birds. It also houses a number of bird and animal sanctuaries.

The climate of Rajasthan state as a whole can be divided into four seasons: pre-monsoons, monsoon, post-monsoon and winter. April till June is the pre-monsoon period which is the hottest season. In the desert regions, the temperature drops in night. The second season is monsoon season that extends from July to September when temperature is comparatively down but with high levels of humidity. This season is mostly marked by rains. The post-monsoon period is from October till December with overall good temperature. From January till March is the winter season which is always marked with variations in maximum and minimum temperatures. During winters, the temperature may drop to 0oC in some cities of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan is a major tourist destination and is thus well connected to all other states and cities of India.

Rajasthan has Jaipur as the main airport to enter the state with all major domestic airlines flying into the state with Udaipur and Jodhpur also as other options. Jaipur has connections to Delhi, Mumbai, Udaipur, Aurangabad, Jodhpur and few more cities in India.

By Rail
The state of magnificent forts and palaces can also be enjoyed with Palace on Wheels which is one of the most luxurious trains in the world. Many other trains also run on daily schedules and connect with all the cities of Rajasthan.

By Road
Apart from very famous Camel safari and Horse safari, the road network in Rajasthan, connecting all major cities is very famous and is much better than in the other parts of India.
