One of the most romantic cities in Rajasthan, Udaipur is also known as the city of lakes. Udaipur is known as the lovely lakeside capital of the kingdom of Mewar. PLACES TO SEE IN UDAIPUR

Kumbhalgarh Fort
Kumbhalgarh fort is the second most important fort in the city. It’s located about 64 km north of Udaipur. Built during 15th century, the fort has since been unconquered because of its inaccessibility and hostile topography. The fort also offers a superb birds view of the surroundings.

Chittorgarh Fort
The fort of Chittorgarh tells the legendary stories of Rajputana pride, romance and bravery. Famous old legends state that the construction of this Chittorgarh fort was started by Bhim a Pandav hero of mythological epic Mahabharata. Chittorgarh Fort is a massive structure with a 1 km zigzag path to it.

Haldighati
Haldighati is the famous place that stands witness to the great legendry battle fought between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal Emperor -Akbar in 1576 AD. This place has a ‘Chhatri’ with delicate white marble carvings that is dedicated to the loyal charger. Many tourists come to see it every year. A jeep drive to this place is rather interesting.

By Air
Dabok Airport is 24 km from Udaipur city which is linked by daily Air Service from New Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad and Mumbai.
By Train
Udaipur city is also well connected through trains to and from Chittrogarh, Ajmer, Jaipur and Delhi.
By Road
Apart from this there is also available to the tourist a wide network of bus services linking Udaipur from various destinations like Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Delhi, Jaipur, Chittrogarh, Indore, Kota, Mount Abu and Mumbai.
