of the most romantic cities in Rajasthan, Udaipur is also known as the
city of lakes. Udaipur is known as the lovely lakeside capital of the

The best season to visit Udaipur city is between October and March. PLACES TO SEE IN UDAIPUR Kumbhalgarh Fort Kumbhalgarh fort is the second most important fort in the city. Its located about 64 km north of Udaipur. Built during 15th century, the fort has since been unconquered because of its inaccessibility and hostile topography. The fort also offers a superb birds view of the surroundings. Chittorgarh Fort The fort of Chittorgarh tells the legendary stories of Rajputana pride, romance and bravery. Famous old legends state that the construction of this Chittorgarh fort was started by Bhim a Pandav hero of mythological epic Mahabharata. Chittorgarh Fort is a massive structure with a 1 km zigzag path to it. Haldighati is the famous place that stands witness to the great legendry battle fought between Maharana Pratap and the Mughal Emperor -Akbar in 1576 AD. This place has a Chhatri with delicate white marble carvings that is dedicated to the loyal charger. Many tourists come to see it every year. A jeep drive to this place is rather interesting.
